The Star Dust slot game is another of the many creations by the superb team at Microgaming. The game was released to the market back in December 2015, but is not one of their highest rated offerings.
As you would expect from a Microgaming slot, there is a simple look to the design of the interface for this game, making it pretty easy to understand. The graphics are sublime and the sounds very sharp. Star Dust can be played across all desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Gameplay
StarDust launched us into space for this game with what the creators call a ‘retro arcade feel’ and it is easy to see why they label it like that. Through gems, features and respins we are given the task of seeking out the big wins! Star Dust has five reels with 40 paylines in all.
The lower paying symbols are the typical ones in the form of the 10, J, Q, K and A playing cards. The better paying ones fit the theme but they are not above and beyond expectations by any means! They are different coloured gems – blue, green, orange and yellow. The Wild icon is the StarDust logo and galaxy symbol is the other important one in the game.
Bonus Feature
There are two features in the StarDust slot game. The first of them is the Gem Free Spins one. At some point your eyes will have noticed a meter to the side of the reels on the right hand side. Whenever the galaxy icon appears on reel three, the gems are collected from the other reels and added to the meter. Fill up the meter and you receive between 10-13 free spins! There are no multipliers to the free spins but a huge 1,024 paylines are in play in this part of the game.
There is also the Radiant Re-spins part of the game, which is a differently disguised feature Microgaming often use in their games. If you land a three symbol win you get the chance to re-spin reels four and five or if you have a four icon win you can re-spin reel five, both of which potentially reward you with a bigger win!

Microgaming does the StarDust slot game pretty well although a lot of the different elements to it can be found in a number of their titles. In a lot of ways the only thing which differentiates this from the Bikini Party and Dragon Dance games is the space and retro theme of it. Nevertheless, those themes allow for strong graphics and a pure soundtrack which is very easy to get alone with. The bonus this game has on those other two is the huge number of paylines in play in the free spins feature. Of the three this is probably the one to get stuck into!
