The Paying Piano Club Game Review

If your looking for the coolest place to hang out this Art Deco music club of the American roaring 20’s is certainly worth a visit. The setting of this is presented impeccably throughout the spinning of the reels in this Play’n Go slot, the cool instruments and character on the reels really transport you to this golden age of music clubs.

But is the game mechanics and features as good as the setting and design? Or is the prohibition soon to close this happening music venue? Let’s have a look.

Background

The scene behind the reels in the Paying Piano Club is not filled with detail during this slot although perhaps Play’n Go didn’t want to distract players form the spinning of the reels. To the right of the play grid sits a glass of red wine and to the left a smouldering cigarette leant against an ashtray, both are situated atop a varnished wooden piano. Bordering the grid is a glamorous, golden frame above which the music clubs name is positioned in gold, old-fashioned font that fits perfectly with the setting. Below features the usual bet sizes, spin button etc. all designed to work alongside the rest of the game seamlessly.

The play grid itself involved 3-reels and 3-rows with 5 available paylines to use, the symbols used throughout play also are decorated to fit the game setting. Everything from the lower value J – A royals to the higher value instruments, the beating heart of this club. There is also a classy Flapper, typical of the time that represents the games Wild and the various band member Scatters.

Bonuses

Like other Play’n Go 3-reel slots there isn’t a huge number of bonuses to hope for here, however they make up for this in what these bonus features include. The win multiplier is relatively straightforward, if stacked Wild symbols appear on a winning spin a multiplier will be randomly selected and added to the win. In the main game 1 or more stacked Wild’s can reward a 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x multiplier of the stake.

Another bonus feature included in the Paying Piano Club is opened by the landing of all 3 band member Scatter symbols and triggers 5 free spins to be used. There is no multiplier available with these initial spins however a golden coin symbol is included that rewards an extra spin and 1x multiplier every time it lands. For everyone that lands the multiplier will increase by 1 and better yet, there is no cap on the number of free spins or multiplier that players could unlock here.

CasinoNZ Verdict

Much like in previous Play’n Go releases like Holiday Season that plays off a 3×3 grid with medium volatility the multiplier features are what makes this game so exciting. The setting is very interesting and well thought out although a bit more detail behind the grid would have been appreciated. The audio soundtrack to play with and well-designed symbols make this game an enjoyable addition to any players go-to options.
