Everybody dreams of a treasure island full of lost riches, just waiting to be explored and claimed, but it’s not often that you find one! Eyecon have brought just such an island to life with their slots game Lost Island, which challenges you to scour the beaches, palm trees and even an active volcano in search of gold.

Find native masks, colourful animals and rare plants in this bright and jolly title, and you might even find some serious cash on the way! So is this game an island in the sun, or will you be lost at sea? Let’s take a look!

Game Background

Eyecon are an Australian developer famous for their large and varied collection of games, with a title in just about every single genre.

Like most other Eyecon games Lost Island is basic, bright and sunny, but with great potential for winnings. Its graphics and design don’t stand up well against the most modern titles from other developers, but you won’t care about that when your bank account is swelling with cash!

The game itself is pretty simple, presented on a five by five layout granting a total of 25 paylines, with bets that range from 0.25 credits up to 12.50 credits. That’s not a huge range of bets, but this is one of the few games in which you can win serious money during the base game without having to rely on bonus rounds.

There aren’t any filler symbols here, and each one is represented by an island feature or animal, from palm trees and beaches all the way to monkeys and parrots. These last two are the highest paying and can net you an amazing 950 coins when you land 5. Combine these with the wild symbol, a volcano, and your payout is doubled. Land five volcanoes and you can max out your winnings at an astonishing 9,500 coins, which could be a truly huge sum depending on how much you bet.

Feature Bonuses

In keeping with the game’s basic design philosophy, the bonus round is particularly bare-bones, but none the less rewarding as a result. The scatter symbol is a dancing tribal mask, and netting three of these will kick off the bonus game, as well as granting you a multiplier equal to the number of masks. If you get five masks, that multiplier can be as much as 450x.

You get 15 free spins in this round and your winnings are automatically doubled, but because you can re-trigger the free spins at any time during the game by finding more masks, you can actually have as many as 240 free spins if you’re lucky. That’s a lot of multipliers to keep track of, but the bottom line is that you can max out at a whopping 750x your original stake in multipliers alone if you play your cards right.

CasinoNZ Verdict

While new players may be put off by the basic visuals and monotonous soundtrack, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, because where cash prizes are concerned Lost Island is up there with the best.
