Background

Behind the reels a dark mausoleum sets the scene with old brickwork and dark vines growing around the stone outline of the reels. Either side of the playtable statues of hooded figures stand, old and unclean with swords gripped at the handle as though guarding the reels themselves. Above the reels the games title in block capital, purple writing is surrounded by a jagged, grey box that fits with he other visual perfectly. Beneath the grid all of the play buttons are given a purple makeover, a recurring feature on this slot except for the spin button, a sickly green colour that stands out from the rest.

Symbols that are used in House of Doom 2 include the lower value 10 – A of cards, when used these are often given a makeover but here you wouldn’t even think of them as card suits. These blood-red, gothic symbols pay out for between 3 and 5 across a payline. Higher value symbols to play with here include crossed daggers, nightshade, 3 candles and a skull complete with a purple backdrop and spikes coming from its cranium. Other symbols that will be found include a Crypt scatter and 4-character Wilds that access different zones.

Bonuses

All of the Wilds that appears can substitute for main game features to complete winning paylines giving the player even more chances to win. Landing 5 of these matching Wilds across a payline will reward 25x the stake, this is before we even mention the individual features they contain.

Throughout play Spirt Gate frames land randomly on the grid, if a Wild lands inside one of them it expands to cover the entire reel, it also rewards a respin and unlock that Wilds specific features.

Fire Mistress – adds a 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x multiplier to any respin win received.

Metal Priestess – levels all high paying symbol on the grid to the highest possible skull symbol.

Queen of the Damned – adds Spirit Gates to every reel during the respin.

Land 3 Crypt Scatters on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reel and trigger the regular bonus round. This will land a minimum of 1 Spirit Gate on each spin, the Wild that lands during free spins is dependant on the base game Zone you started in. Scatters that land on a Spirit Gate become Framing crypt Scatter, these award 8 free Crypt spins with the Spirit of Unity Wild in play. If this Wild lands on the Spirit Gate all of the other Wild’s features come into play at once.
