Background

This 5-reel, 3-row slot game uses many of the visual conventions you would expect from one of Gordon Ramsay’s many television shows. The colours are red and blue from left to right with patterns on either side of the reels involving the devil’s trident, from the hit tv show. Above the reels, 5 heating lamps are visible that show the 5-reels of play with a shiny, metal kitchen surface beneath that transports the player to the Hells Kitchen whilst playing. The game features are situated over this work surface with spin, auto and quick spin buttons, stake options and information menus at the player’s disposal.

Players can use the J – A of cards as the lower value symbols in Hell’s Kitchen, they have been given a makeover to appear like red-hot brands matching the temperature of the setting. Hoping for higher payouts [layers can look to make combinations of some of Ramsay’s signature dishes, these include a Sticky toffee pudding, Cocktail, Spicy burger and the highest paying Beef Wellington. There is also a Hell Kitchen Wild symbol and the head chef himself backed by flames as the Scatter.

Bonus Features

Firstly, the Hell’s Kitchen Wild can be activated at random from any spin, this involves Ramsay hurling knives or plates at the reels and fixing positions on which 5 – 7 Wild symbols are added. With Wilds working, as usual, to substitute for other main game symbols this creates even more opportunities to land winning paylines.

To activate the Team Challenge Free Spins players can hope to land 3 or 4 Gordon Ramsay Scatter symbols across the reels at once. These can land anywhere apart from reel 3 and landing 3 Scatter rewards 10 free spins and 4 Scatters 15 spins. The reels are then split into 2 separate 5×3 play grids, 1 for the blue team and 1 for the red team of which you must choose which team to play with. On each spins an ‘Order Up’ feature adds a 2x or 3x multiplier to any wins or Team Wilds which randomly adds between 3 and 8 Wilds to the grid.
