Gameplay and Visuals
Eyecon’s designers have gone for the cutesy cartoon look for this game, with the game’s five reels and three-row setup set to a background of a sandy beach with waves lapping at the shore. There are the obligatory red and white striped deckchair and beach ball, with the silhouette of a pier and funfair in the distance.
The game offers as many as 25 paylines, and the amount of paylines you play with is up to you and can be altered prior to hitting the spin button. The minimum stake here is 1c per payline, with the maximum topping off at just 50c per payline. The Return to Player percentage is at the lower end of the scale at 89.99%, but this is partly due to the fact that this game offers a progressive jackpot where the winnings can be sky-high.
When it comes to symbols, well these are represented by some of the most popular ice cream treats around, including the choc ice, ice cream cones of various colours, an ice cream sandwich and the treat the game is named after, the 99 Flake. The flake symbol is the highest value symbol on the base game and landing all five on a payline will give you a return of 5,000 coins.
The wild symbol is the ice cream van, which also doubles as a scatter, whilst the ice cream maker machine is an additional scatter symbol.
In order to activate the free spins round, you will need to land 3, 4 or 5 ice cream van symbols, and in return, you will receive 15, 20 or 25 free goes, plus you can trigger more free spins by landing more of these wilds. On top of that, all winnings accrued during the free spins round will be tripled.
The Prize Pick game is activated when you land an ice cream maker symbol, where you will be whisked off to another screen filled with symbols that all hide various multiplier amounts up to 100x. The more ice cream maker symbols you have on a payline, the more picks you will receive, and when you have finished, your winnings for the round that took you there will be multiplied by the total of the multipliers you selected.
